Rumors Point to the First Nothing-Branded Smartwatch Costing ‘Under $300’
Nothing may be preparing its first smartwatch under its own nameplate, with reports pointing to a September launch and a price below $300. The brand has already launched a couple of smartwatch models under its budget-friendly CMF sub-brand, but a Nothing-branded watch is yet to come. Now, according to leaker Yogesh Brar, one with “typical Nothing DNA” could be on its way.
The wearable’s OS remains the most awaited detail amid these new rumors. Some reports frame Wear OS as the most likely option, but nothing (no pun intended) has been confirmed yet. The ultra-affordable CMF watches use a lighter custom software platform, but a flagship model could serve a different audience by offering a more extensive OS.
Unfortunately, we don’t have any details about specs yet. But if a Nothing smartwatch does hit the market later this year, we can likely expect an aesthetic matching the rest of Nothing’s futuristic, semi-transparent hardware.
If you’re a Nothing enthusiast, the rumor of an actual Nothing-branded smartwatch might be exciting, but without leaked renders or photos, I’d temper my expectations for now. That said, if we hear anything more before the supposed September watch, we’ll keep you up to date.
