Microsoft Edge tests Apple Account sign-in support
Microsoft’s latest Edge Canary build has added new flags for signing in to the browser with an Apple Account, while Microsoft’s release notes indicate the feature is also rolling out to Edge Beta users. Here are the details.
Microsoft Edge may soon support Apple Account sign in
As spotted by Tecnoblog (via MacMagazine), user Leopeva64 on X has noticed that Microsoft’s latest Edge Canary build adds two new flags related to Apple Account sign-in support.
According to Leopeva64, one flag enables Apple Account sign-in for Edge profiles, while the other adds an Apple sign-in button to the profile menu, similar to the Google Account sign-in option Microsoft introduced previously.
The two flags are currently described as follows:
- Apple Sign-In Button on Profile Menu
Shows an Apple sign-in button on the profile menu. Sign in with Apple (#edge-swag-m1-apple) must be enabled for sign-in to work. – Mac, Windows

Allows Apple sign-in to Edge profile. – Mac, Windows

Interestingly, Microsoft already lists Apple Account sign-in in the release notes for Edge Beta version 152, noting that the feature is rolling out on Windows and macOS. The company notes, however, that it is a controlled rollout, meaning it may not yet be available to all users.
Once the feature is officially live, Apple users will be able to sign in to an Edge profile with their existing Apple Account, instead of using or needing to create a Microsoft Account.
