Xbox 25th Anniversary Console Priced at $899, Preorders Begin Today
Microsoft has confirmed that its Xbox 25th Anniversary Collection will cost $899 in the United States. This limited-edition bundle, which includes the “OG Green” Xbox Series X25 console and matching Special Edition controller, is available for preorder beginning August 27 at 10 a.m. ET.
The console has a semi-translucent shell and a unique engraved number on each unit. Specs-wise, the Series X25 matches the regular 1TB Xbox Series X; the only difference is the console’s aesthetic. Each bundle also comes with a digital copy of Halo: Campaign Evolved, a remake of the 2001 title that’s compatible with Xbox, PC, and the PlayStation 5.
Microsoft says the console will launch on November 13, two days before the brand’s actual 25th birthday on November 15. Bundles are limited to one per customer, and the X25 Special Edition controller is available separately for $79.99, with a release date of October 20.
