Nvidia GeForce Now Offers DLSS 4.5 Settings, Will Support Steam Machine Later This Year

Nvidia is giving its GeForce Now cloud gaming service three major updates, according to an announcement at this year’s Gamescom.

GeForce Now will soon offer DLSS 4.5 controls, including Super Resolution, Dynamic Frame Generation, and Ray Reconstruction. Nvidia says these DLSS 4.5 features will roll out across several hundred supported games, with Ray Reconstruction in DLSS 4.5 now available in RTX early access. Members of this high-performance GeForce Now tier can choose how aggressively the service upscales images, degrees of frame generation, and how it reconstructs ray-traced lighting and reflections.

Secondly, GeForce Now will officially support Valve’s Steam Machine later this year. Nvidia has also confirmed full support for the new Steam Controller, starting with the Steam Deck and Steam Machine, with Windows and macOS app support to come later in the year.

Finally, Nvidia is introducing new and upcoming games for GeForce Now, like Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy, Gears of War: E‑Day, The Blood of Dawnwalker, CONTROL Resonant, Onimusha: Way of the Sword, and more.
